Things You'll Need:
- Liquid dishwashing soap
- Water
- White cloths
- Eyedropper
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Ammonia
-
Step 1
Combine one tablespoon of dishwashing soap with two cups of cool water. Wet the white cloth in the solution and dab the stain.
-
Step 2
Dab the stain with a dry cloth until all liquid is absorbed. Repeatedly wet the cloth in the solution and dry two to three times.
-
Step 3
Fill the eyedropper with hydrogen peroxide and apply directly to the stain. Do not take this step if you are applying to wood. The dish detergent and water solution should get the stain out in that case. Also, be sure to test a little of the hydrogen peroxide on a small piece of the upholstery before applying to ensure it won't stain or ruin the fabric. If the fabric is too sensitive, you may have to use a specialized upholstery cleaner, such as an enzymatic solution, or hire a professional cleaner.
-
Step 4
Add about two drops of ammonia using the eyedropper. Again, test a little of the ammonia on a small piece of the upholstery before applying to ensure it won't stain.
-
Step 5
Dab with a cold, wet cloth. Dry with a separate cloth.
