How to Find My Hat Size

Finding your hat size is a simple task that involves a few easy steps and a minute or two of your time. It's nice to know your hat size, especially if you're planning to buy a hat online.

Things You'll Need

• Sewing tape measure
• Regular tape measure (optional)

Instructions

1. Use a sewing tape measure (made out of cloth) or a regular tape measure to measure the distance around your head. Start at your forehead and pull it all the way around to where you started. Hold your finger in place at the correct spot on the tape measure as you pull it off of your head. Remember or write down the number.

2. View a hat sizing chart. You can find one in the reference listed below. You may also search "hat sizing chart" in an online search engine and you will get plenty of useful results.

3. Match your head's circumference to the hat sizes. The sizes will most likely be written in inches and centimeters, making it very easy to find the correct size.
