Things You'll Need:
- 8 Hot Dogs
- 1 can (8 oz)refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
- Mustard
- Toothpicks
-
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375
-
Step 2
Click to EnlargeOpen your can of Crescent Rolls. Unroll them and cut them on the perforated edge. Next, cut them into thin strips.
-
Step 3
Click to EnlargeFor you first strip, place it around the top of the Hot Dog.
-
Step 4
Click to EnlargeUsing the cut Crescent strips, continue wrapping, around the Hot Dog. 1 triangle of Crescent Rolls is enough for one Hot Dog.
-
Step 5
Click to EnlargeContinue wrapping the Crescent strips around the hot dog, there is no specific science to this. Although I find pulling and stretching the dough works best. It doesn't matter if the Crescent strips break while you're pulling them. It's dough, it will stick regardless and plus it adds to the "Mummy" look.
-
Step 6
Click to EnlargeMake sure you save enough of the strips of Crescent Roll to wrap around the whole hot dog. When your hot dog is all wrapped, place on a cookie sheet. Continue steps for all the hot dogs you are making. Bake in oven at 375 for 12 to 15 minutes or until Lightly Golden Brown.
-
Step 7
Click to EnlargeAfter they come out of the oven, using Mustard and a Toothpick poke your Toothpick dipped in Mustard into the Hot Dog for your Hot Dog Mummy's eyes.
-
Step 8
Click to EnlargeYour Mummy Hot Dogs are ready to be served. Enjoy & Happy Halloween!
