  • 20 drops of essential oils
  • 2 teaspoons vodka

      Choose an essential oil or combination of oils. Different oils have unique properties that might be appealing for a natural deodorant mixture. Lavender and rosemary possess antibacterial properties, eucalyptus is soothing and refreshing, peppermint is cooling and refreshing, and patchouli is musky.

      Mixing bowls

      Mix 20 drops of essential oils with 2 teaspoons of vodka in a small mixing bowl. Add 1 ounce white vinegar to essential oil mixture and pour in a spray bottle. Add 1 cup of purified water to spray bottle.

      Vodka is odorless and vinegar odor dissipates quickly. The essential oil fragrance will be more prominent.

      Shake the mixture. The ingredients may separate when the bottle is not in use, so be sure to shake the bottle before each use to combine the ingredients.
