How to Deep Fry Turkey

Everyone loves turkey, therefore try deep frying it. It will give it a flavor you absolutely love. Its actually simpler than making them in the oven.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 10lb - 12lb turkey
  • 3 tbsp of rub your choice
  • 4 to 5 gallons cooking oil
  • garnish of your choice
  1. Step 1

    Take your thawed turkey and remove neck and giblets. Wash turkey inside and out then pat dry. Season with favorite rub or spices of your choice and let soak for 1 hour.

  2. Step 2

    In a deep fryer set temperature to 350 and let heat. Check with a thermometer for exact temperature.

  3. Step 3

    When fryer reaches 350 slowly lower your turkey into your cooking oil, making sure the oil covers the whole turkey completely.

  4. Step 4

    Let turkey cook for 35-45 minutes and check a inner thigh of the turkey with a thermometer. When turkey temp hits 165 its done.

  5. Step 5

    Remove turkey from your oil and place on pan of your choice. Pat down to get rid of excess oil. Or sat on paper towels and let drain.

  6. Step 6

    Garnish, carve, and enjoy.
