If you want to make pizza but don't want to wait for the dough to rise, make a no-yeast pie. Dough made without yeast tastes a bit bland, but adding dried garlic and herbs gives your crust a wonderful flavor. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for brushing the dough)

Instructions

    • 1

      Heat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

      Place all of the ingredients except for the olive oil into a bowl. Mix thoroughly until the dough no longer sticks to the bowl.

      Roll the dough into a ball. Knead the dough in the bowl about 10 times. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and use a rolling pin to roll the dough into a circle.

      Place the dough on a pizza pan or stone. Turn up the dough edges about ½ inch and pinch them.

      Brush the dough with olive oil.

    • 6

      Put pizza sauce and toppings on the dough. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
