Christmas decorations don’t have to be the same traditional red, green and white; you can spruce up your tree with these gorgeous pearl ornaments. They look beautiful on a white Christmas tree or a wreath on the front door. Making your own ornaments is the perfect way to customize your home décor, no matter what colors you use!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Frosted Christmas Ornament Ball
  • Ceramcoat Acrylic Paint in Metallic Pale Gold
  • Paper Plate or Small Cup
  • Spool of 4mm Pearls in Ivory
  • Super Glue
  • Sheer ribbon, Ivory
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

    Beginning

Remove the hanger and cap from the frosted ornament ball. Be very careful as not to damage the ornament and hanger because you will need it when finished.

  2. Step 2

Next, wrap the ornament with your pearls. Start at the top, around the cap, securing the pearls with several drops of super glue per row (allowing to dry as you go). When you get to the bottom of the ornament, snip off the extra pearls and secure the end with super glue and allow to dry.

  3. Step 3

Fill the ornament with your Ceramcoat paint, with enough to swirl around and cover the entire ornament. When the inside is fully coated, turn the ornament upside down on a paper plate or small cup.
**May take several hours for excess paint to completely drain, so you may work on several at a time.

  4. Step 4

For added glamour, wrap the cap with sheer pink ribbon and finish with a bow.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always use caution with super glue, be careful not to get your fingers stuck together!
  • Fumes from super glue may be harmful so work in a well-ventilated area!
