1
Make it monotone. A monotone is a single shade of the same color. A room with slanted walls can feel cramped. To help avoid this feeling, paint the entire room in the same color. Lighter colors--such as whites, pale pastels and neutrals--work well because they help extend a space outwards. The eye feels as if the space is unified and cozy.

Create a canopy. A canopy is a wall covering. Rooms with slanted walls work well as bedrooms. Place a bed underneath one wall that is slanted. Attach small nails or wall hangers to the ceiling of the area. Drape gauzy sheer fabric over the nails or wall hangers. The fabric should drop down in curves, but it shouldn't touch the bed physically. This will help create the feel of a cozy sleeping niche.

Use wallpaper. Wallpaper is an excellent way to add character and life to any room. Rooms that have slanted walls benefit from wallpaper that is in keeping with the character of the room. Use wallpaper with small repeating patterns to avoid being overwhelmed by the pattern. The wallpaper should match the colors of the room.

Add light. Lighting is very important in any room. A room with slanted walls can feel very dark and cramped. One way to overcome this sensation is with proper lighting. Track light works well. Attach track lighting to the top of the wall. This can add light to corners and make the space feel bigger. Try temporary lights such as candles if you are looking for a cozy feel. Choose candles in colors that compliment the room's color palette. Place them in a safe place. The top of a side table is ideal.

Add texture. A blank wall can seem uninteresting. Texture can invite people next to the wall. Wooden panels can be affixed to a slanted wall to add to the feel of being in a log cabin. Choose light woods such as pine to help keep the space feeling airy.

Use fabrics. Fabrics can add color and pattern to a room. Slanted walls serve as a showcase for a beloved piece of lace or just a bit of fabric that looked interesting from the remainders bin. Attach to the wall with small nails or bits of sticky tape.
