How to Make Barbecue Pulled Pork in Your Slow-Cooker

Dinner prep doesn't get any easier than pulled pork made in a slow-cooker. Pile the ingredients into the pot in the morning and come home to the delicious aroma of simmering meat in the evening. Add barbecue sauce to the pork toward the end of cooking, then serve it on soft buns or alongside your favorite vegetable sides.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 jar barbecue sauce
  • Pork roast or pork tenderloin
  • 20 ounces root beer
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Place the pork roast or pork tenderloin into the slow-cooker.

  • Cover the pork with the root beer and cook on high heat for five to six hours or low heat for nine to 11 hours.

  • Drain most of the root beer from the pot, leaving just a little in with the pork.

  • Shred the pork, then add the barbecue sauce to the slow-cooker. Cook on low heat for an additional one or two hours.
