How to Make Iced Coffee With a One-Serving Coffee Machine

When the thermometer is reaching toward triple digits, the last thing you probably want is a hot cup of coffee. On the other hand, an iced coffee might just be the thing to cool you down. If you own a one-cup coffee maker such as a Keurig or a Flavia, you can make a tall glass of iced coffee at home.

Things You'll Need

  • Dark roast coffee
  • Ice
  • Sugar, optional
  • Milk, optional
  • Insert a dark-roast coffee, such as an Espresso, French Roast and Sumatran, into the machine.

  • Pour ice into a 16-ounce cup until it is three-quarters filled. Add sugar to the cup, if desired. Put aside.

  • Position a coffee cup in the machine. Brew the coffee as you normally would.

  • Remove the cup and add milk, if desired. Stir until milk is combined with the coffee.

  • Pour hot coffee into the 16-ounce glass with ice. Stir until coffee cools.
