How to Make Iced Coffee With a One-Serving Coffee Machine

Make just one cup of iced coffee in a one-cup coffee maker.

When the thermometer is reaching toward triple digits, the last thing you probably want is a hot cup of coffee. On the other hand, an iced coffee might just be the thing to cool you down. If you own a one-cup coffee maker such as a Keurig or a Flavia, you can make a tall glass of iced coffee at home.

Things You'll Need

• Dark roast coffee
• Ice
• Sugar, optional
• Milk, optional

Instructions

1. Insert a dark-roast coffee, such as an Espresso, French Roast and Sumatran, into the machine.

2. Pour ice into a 16-ounce cup until it is three-quarters filled. Add sugar to the cup, if desired. Put aside.

3. Position a coffee cup in the machine. Brew the coffee as you normally would.

4. Remove the cup and add milk, if desired. Stir until milk is combined with the coffee.

5. Pour hot coffee into the 16-ounce glass with ice. Stir until coffee cools.
