How to Arrange a Wedding Cake Cupcake Table

Many wedding receptions feature both a cake and cupcakes. To make the table more appealing, arrange boxes in a stair-step fashion on the table and cover them with cloth to create a display of cupcakes.

Things You'll Need

• Empty boxes in various sizes
• 4 yards of fabric in wedding coordinating colors
• Platters

Instructions

1. Put a piece of fabric down over the table.

2. Arrange boxes on the table according to height, stair-stepping down as they move away from the main cake.

3. Cover the boxes with the second fabric selection. This will create a multi-leveled platform with surfaces at varied heights. Step back and look at it from a distance to see if you want to make changes to the layout before you place the cupcakes around.

4. Place the cupcakes on platters on the steps you created.

Tips & Warnings

• Place single cupcakes around the table to add a splash of color.

• If you have light colored cupcakes, choose a darker fabric for contrast.

• Don’t use a sheer fabric to cover boxes because the labels may show through.
