Tips & Warnings
Diluted vinegar or hydrogen peroxide may also be used to blot the stain after the salt has been removed. Salt is the best first aid for a wine stain, but if the stain persists, commercial wine removers are available.
Test for color fastness of your fabric or carpet before using vinegar or peroxide.
