How to Make a Money Origami Rose
An origami rose folded out of money is a creative way to give a gift. Because it takes five bills to put it together, it is flexible in how much money you give, which can range from $5 to $500. - 5 bills, any denomination
- Piece of green construction paper
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Green floral wire
- Pliers

Fold the first bill in half, lengthwise, and unfold. Roll one of the corners over on top of itself diagonally, and continue rolling until it is halfway along the short end and down to the fold on the long end. Repeat with the remaining three corners.

Fold the bill back and forth like an accordion along the crease in the middle until you reach the opposite side. Press the middle together, and wrap one of the rolled sides around the other, making a cone for the center of the rose, and set it aside.

Grab another bill and fold it in half lengthwise, keeping it folded. Roll one of the corners over on top of itself diagonally. Roll on the outside of the folded paper until you reach halfway along the short edge and to the middle fold. Repeat with the other three corners.

Unfold the middle and fold the bill back and forth like an accordion along the middle crease until you reach the opposite side. Press the middle together and puff out the part of the bill that is closest to the middle. Make sure the rolled corners are facing out to create the outer petals. Repeat this series of folds with the remaining three bills to make all four outer petals

Cut a 2-inch by 3-inch rectangle from the green paper. Cut the corners at a diagonal to make a diamond, and fold it in at the middle using accordion-like folds. Cut two more green diamonds the same size and shape as the first and fold them in at the middle.

Unfold the middle fold of the first bill, the center petals, and wrap the middle point of the wire around the middle of the bill. Twist the wire so that each strand turns 90 degrees, directly below the bill to secure it. Squeeze the middle wire together with the pliers.

Add the next bill on to the bottom, turning the petals so they fill the space that is open and face the opposite direction of the petals in the center. Wrap the wire around the bottom of the second petals, turning each strand 90 degrees. Squeeze the middle with pliers.

Add the remaining petals, one at a time, in the same fashion, followed by the green diamonds. Pull the remaining wire down to make a stem. Curl the center petals again so they make a cone and adjust the outer petals to look like a rose.
