      To remove hard water stains in your porcelain sink or bathtub soak paper towels in white vinegar and lay them over the entire surface of the sink or bathtub. Let the paper towels sit for 2 to 3 hours. Pick up your paper towels and gently wipe away stains.

      To remove more stubborn hard water or mineral stains from your porcelain sink or bathtub, make a paste out of Borax and lemon juice. Apply the paste to the stains and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Use a wet paper towel or a clean wet rag and wipe the stains to remove. Rinse with plain water.

      To remove very stubborn stains from your porcelain bathtub or sink such as hair dye, make a 50-50 solution of chlorine bleach and water in a spray bottle. Spray the stain, let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes and wipe up with a wet rag or paper towel.
