Things You'll Need:
- 2 balls craft yarn
- Wooden handles
- 5 mm hook
- Wooden bead
- Darning needle

Step 1
Making the chainTo start, chain 22.
Single crochet in the 2nd chain from your hook and in all remaining chains. This will be row 1 and will make 21 single crochets. -
Step 2
Making the triple crochet.Single crochet in every stitch across for rows 2 through 8. Chain one and turn. This will be the covering for the handle of the purse.

Step 3
Popcorn stitchFor rows 9 through 15, you will increase by making 2 single crochets in the first stitch of each row and the last stitch of each row. At the end of the 9th row, turn. There should now be 35 single crochets in the row.

Step 4
Start row 16 by chaining 3. This will count as the 1st triple crochet. Next make 2 triple crochets in the next 2 stitches twice. Popcorn in the next stitch. Do 1 triple crochet in the next three stitches. Popcorn in the next stitch. Continue doing 1 triple crochet in the next 3 stitches and popcorn in the next stitch, across the row. The end should be 1 triple crochet in each of the last 3 stitches. Chain 1 and turn.

Step 5
Single crochet in each single crochet across for row 17. Turn and repeat rows 16 and 17 until your purse is 9 inches from the beginning row you made to cover the handle. This should end with a single crochet. Sew the sides of the purse together with a darning needle and a piece of the yarn, using an over-and-under stitch.

Step 6
Put the top of the purse over the handles and sew these securely on the side facing the inner part of the purse. Place the wooden bead in the center of the purse at the top and sew it to the purse. Make a chain of 75 stitches. Sew this to the back of the purse at the top. This will come over the top of the purse and be secured with the wooden bead to hold the purse closed.
