Instructions

    • 1

Decide how long you want your veil to be. It can hang to your shoulders, mid-back, fingertips or to the floor. You can make it any length that you want. Use a measuring tape to measure from the part of your head where the comb will be to the length that you want the veil to fall to. Add about 5 inches to the length to make up for mistakes.

    • 2

Cut the tulle to the desired dimensions using sharp scissors.

    • 3

Attach your trim along the sides and bottom of the veil. The method of attachment will vary depending on what type of trim you are using. For example, you can use no sew tape under a ribbon and iron it into place or if you use sequins you will need to sew them on by hand. If you use ribbon, you can glue or sew a string of pearl beads all the way around the veil on top of the ribbon.

    • 4

Glue the top of the veil to the comb or tiara. If you are using a comb, you will glue it to the top of the comb. Bunch it up as you move along the comb, so work only on about 1/2 inch to 1 inch at a time, as opposed to covering the entire comb with glue at once. Don't worry if you can see a little of the glue, this will be covered up. If you are using a tiara, glue it to the back of the tiara.

Add whatever you want over the comb and tulle to cover up the "bunched part.” For example, you can add small silk flowers or glue small gems stones along the top.
