It's possible to remove toothpaste stains from your clothing easily and effectively. Kids tend to splatter toothpaste onto their clean clothing several times a week or smear it on the sink and attempt to clean it up with a hand towel. While toothpaste might wipe off many things quickly, fabric is not one of them. But don't fear, you can easily remove toothpaste stains without ruining your child's clothing.

Things You'll Need:

  • Fabric stain remover Toothbrush
  1. Step 1

Spray the fabric with a stain remover such as Shout or Spray N Wash. Make sure the stain is completely saturated with the stain remover.

  2. Step 2

Gently rub the toothpaste stains in small, circular motions using an old toothbrush. You may need to rub more harshly for dried, set-in toothpaste stains.

  3. Step 3

Allow the fabric to sit for the amount of time recommended by the stain-remover manufacturer. Most manufacturers recommend allowing a harsh stain to sit overnight with stain remover on it.

  4. Step 4

Wash the fabric as usual in the washing machine. If the stain is not completely removed after the first application of stain remover, repeat the process.
