Things You'll Need:
- Fabric
- Sewing Machine
- Pillow filling
-
Step 1
Cut out a square in the fabric. A good size is 18" by 18". Pillows can be made in any size, just add 1" inch to each side to allow room for the seam.
-
Step 2
Place the front sides together and match up the edges. Pins can be used if the fabric is flimsy.
-
Step 3
Sew around the pillow on all three sides. When you reach the forth side, leave 1/3 of it not sewed shut. This should be large enough so you can easily fill by hand.
-
Step 4
Cut a triangle out of each corner so the corners won't look bulky and round.
-
Step 5
Turn the fabric right side out, and begin filling with stuffing. Fill until the pillow looks fluffy, but don't overfill to the point where it will be difficult to close up.
-
Step 6
Turn the edges of the opening in to prepare for closing.
-
Step 7
Sew up the opening by hand, or with a machine. Use small stitches and sew close to the edge of the pillow.
-
Step 8
Finish by moving the filling around to fill the pillow out nicely. The pillow is now ready to display.
