How to Make the Perfect Strawberry Smoothies

Our family has been making fruit smoothies for years. Every year, we go strawberry picking at local farms and enjoy many strawberry recipes. Strawberry smoothies are the boys' favorite thing to make with our strawberries. The boys' favorite smoothies are made with fresh strawberries (we are lucky to be able to get strawberries we pick ourselves!)

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Strawberries
• Milk
• Vanilla
• Ice
• Sugar
• Optional: Vanilla Yogurt

1.

   Wash and hull 16 ounces of strawberries. I like to spray the strawberries with an all natural fruit and veggie wash when washing.

2.

   Place the 16 ounces of strawberries in a blender with one teaspoon of vanilla, 1/4 cup sugar, 2 cups ice and 1 1/2 cups milk. Blend until well blended and ice is crushed. (Optional, add vanilla yogurt in place of all or part of the milk)

   Boys ready to drink smoothies!

   Enjoy your smoothies! For fun twists, add fresh blackberries, blueberries bananas or peaches. Try adding one extra fruit or all at once for an extra special treat!
