How to Have A Quick Las Vegas Wedding

Whether you've been married before, would rather spend more on the Honeymoon than the wedding, or prefer something that's quick and easy but also fun, a Las Vegas wedding just might be what you're looking for. You'll need some basics, like an ID, but getting hitched in Sin City typically is as easy as finding a casino.

Things You'll Need

  • ID
  • Divorce decree, if needed
  • Apply for a marriage license at the Las Vegas Marriage Bureau at 201 Clark Avenue. You will need identification and proof of age. If you have been married before, you also need your divorce decree. Both parties must be present. The office is open from 8 a.m. to midnight every day of the year.

  • Have a civil ceremony preformed by the Las Vegas Marriage Commissioner at 309 South Third Street. Hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. You must provide a witness.

  • Go to any number of wedding chapels, which operate at all times of night and day. A wedding package at a chapel covers use of the chapel, ceremony, flowers and photographs. The chapels typically offer something for every budget.

  • Go the super quick route and have a drive-through wedding. Some chapels let you simply drive up to a window and get married without getting out of the car, or off the motorcycle or bike. Here, too, the hours usually are all day every day, but the costs can vary greatly, from a few hundred dollars to several thousand if you want extras like limousine service.
