How to Get Pen Ink Off of Hands

Handling an ink pen may inadvertently leave stains on fingers and hands. While this presents no serious health risk for most people, the marks can be unsightly. Washing with common soap and water is often not enough to get pen stains off skin. Extra effort may be necessary to remove the ink completely.

Things You'll Need

• Nylon scrubber
• Dish soap

Instructions

1. 

   Wet a nylon scrubber under warm running water. Pour a few drops of dish soap on the wet scrubber

2. Wet hands and scrub the ink stained portion with the soapy scrubber.

3. 

   Rinse hands and check to be sure stain is gone. Use additional scrubbing if any ink is still visible. Rinse thoroughly once the skin is clean.

4. Wash with hand soap, to remove all traces of dish soap, and rinse again.
