If you want to make your dad or husband cry this father's day, here is a heartfelt father's day gift that will bring tears to his eyes. The best free father's day gift ever!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Photos or child and dad
  • Father/Daughter song of choice. I chose Darius Rucker's "It Won't Be Like This For Long"
  1. Step 1

Gather all photos of child with father and get them in digital format if they aren't already. (scan original photos onto computer). Make a secret folder on your computer that is only for these photos.

  2. Step 2

Get a copy of your favorite Father Daughter song, or even better, if you know what HIS favorite Father Daughter song is. In my case, I just remembered that my husband recently told me that he wanted to dance to "It Won't Be Like This for Long" by Hootie and the Blow Fish singer Darius Rucker, at our daughter's wedding. Look up the song of your choice on Amazon.com and download the mp3.

  3. Step 3

Create a slide show using photos documenting the father and child together, starting with the very first photograph of him holding his newborn baby.
You can create a slide show in Window's Movie Maker, which has instructions within the program and very simple to use.

  4. Step 4

There are different programs available for creating slide shows, if you want to be able to burn it to a DVD to watch on the TV, then you need to use a program that can do that such as Windows Movie Maker or Smilebox (paid membership). However, if you don't need to burn it on DVD, you could also create the slide show in Power Point and then show it to him on the computer.

  5. Step 5

The easiest way to present the slide show would be to simply open up the folder of all the selected photographs and select the option to view as slide show. Once the slide show pops up, press pause, and then get the desired song playing on your computer or other music playing device. Then quickly go back and press play on the slide show and watch dad enjoy the show.
