Instructions

  1. Several Simple Suggestions

    • 1

Place the jeans in the freezer for at least 1 hour. The frozen gum should peel right off. Rub dish soap into any residual stain with a soft clean cloth and launder as usual.

    • 2

Heat 1 cup of vinegar in the microwave until it is hot. Dip a toothbrush in the vinegar and scrub the gum off of the jeans before laundering.

    • 3

Dip a soft clean cloth in nail polish remover and wipe the gum off the jeans with the cloth before laundering.

    • 4

Pour boiling water onto the gum and wipe it away with a clean cloth. If some areas are more difficult to remove, use a toothbrush to help with scrubbing. Launder the jeans as usual once all of the gum is removed.

    • 5

Crack an egg into a bowl and separate the yolk and discard it. Dip a toothbrush into the egg white and scrub the gum gently. Let the egg white sit on the stain for 15 minutes and launder as usual.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not launder the jeans before removing the gum as this will create a terrible mess on your clothes and washer and dryer.
