Making a Jumper Dress

1. Use a piece of chalk to draw the design on an extra large T-shirt. Draw the top, which is around the chest (like a tank top) and under the underarms. Hold up to the chest for exact measurements of where to draw the line. Remember to have a 1-inch line that will be between the inner lines and the collar line.

2. Cut the T-shirt using the chalk line as your guide. After you have finished cutting along the chalk line, you should have a tank T-shirt. You will have cut off the sleeves and around the neck, leaving a rounded cut around the chest. You can design how high or low you want the neckline.

3. Slip the dress on to see how baggy or slim the t-shirt dress is. This will be a jumper dress, so it should be loose around the middle.

4. Use a sewing machine to hem around the edges. Not only will this give a finished look, but will help the T-shirt material to last longer.
