Natural hair make-up brushes can get dirty fast. Washing them every week will help cut back on the bacteria that gets transferred to your face. It doesn't take much time to wash and dry the brushes. The key in washing the hair bristles is to use shampoo instead of hand soap or dish washing liquid.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Two hand towels
  • Bathroom sink or bowl
  • Shampoo
  • Bowl of fresh, cold water
  1. Step 1

Lay out a hand towel on the bathroom counter top. If you aren't using the bathroom, any flat surface will work fine.

  2. Step 2

Lay your natural hair make-up brushes in a row on the towel.

  3. Step 3

Fill the bathroom sink, or a medium-sized bowl, with warm water and a few drops of shampoo.

  4. Step 4

Pick up one brush at a time, and dip it into the warm, sudsy water. Gently rub the brush bristles together with your fingers. Do this until the brush washes clean.

  5. Step 5

Place the make-up brush into another bowl of cold, clean water. Rinse the brush by swirling it around and rubbing the bristles with your fingers.

  6. Step 6

Lay the make-up brush back onto the towel. Pat dry the brush with a hand towel.

  7. Step 7

Repeat this step for all the make-up brushes.
