1
Remove the cap from the atomizer. You should be able to simply unscrew it. Do so carefully and place it aside so that you can find it later.
-
2
Filll the atomizer about halfway with the seed beads. If it is a metal atomizer, then you will need to get at the volume. Wear your gloves for this part and do not remove them until you have completed the cleaning process and disposed of the cleaning mix.

3
Add your cleaning solution. Do not cover the beads entirely, but pour enough solution in that it submerses about 75 percent of them.
-
4
Shake the atomizer. Cover the opening at the top so that you do not through your cleaning mix around, then shake the atomizer. If it is glass, this is okay -- the beads will not hurt it and they will scrub the interior of the atomizer.

5
Add a shot of hot water to the mix. Once your atomizer appears to be clean and you have shaken it thoroughly to be sure, add a shot of scalding water to the mix and shake again. This will help you rinse the cleaning solution out. You should not pour it down the drain because it will be full of beads. Instead, pour it into a plastic bottle and dispose of it.
-
6
Rinse your atomizer out several more times with hot water. This is to be sure all of the cleaning solution is gone. Once the atomizer is clean, allow it to dry completely before you use it, fill it or display it.
