Instructions

  1. Recipe

    • 1

Select a few plump and fresh pieces of pomegranate fruit some fresh lime.

    • 2

Remove the pomegranate meat from its shell. Place half of the pomegranate meat into a juicer and collect the juice. Then collect the juice from a peeled lime.

    • 3

Roast the remaining half of the pomegranate fruit, as well as all the peels in the oven at 350 degrees. Roast the fruit meat for three to five minutes to avoid burning. Allow the pomegranate peel to remain in the oven for 30-minutes to an hour longer so that it becomes crisp.

    • 4

Put the roasted fruit meat into the juicer and collect the juice. Place the roasted skin into a grinder and grind down to a coarse to fine powder.

    • 5

Take the juice from the first juicing and make the first liquid mixture using pomegranate juice as the main ingredient. Mix it with lime in a 3:1 ratio. This can be reduced to 1:1 if it is too strong.

    • 6

Prepare the second mixture by combining pomegranate, lime juice and peanut oil in equal parts.

    • 7

For the third concoction, make a paste using the ground roasted peel of the pomegranate fruit. Mix it with a teaspoon of roasted juice and a teaspoon of lime juice to make a thick paste.

    Application and Uses

    • 8

Apply the first mixture of pomegranate-lime juice to the mole five minutes before taking a bath.

    • 9

Use the second mixture with the pomegranate-peanut oil-lime juice on facial moles, blemishes and as a facial preparation as you soak in the tub, or 15 minutes before taking a shower.

    • 10

Use the third mixture of pomegranate paste similarly to a night cream by applying it to the mole, covering it with a bandage and keeping it on for the night.

Tips & Warnings

  • Roasting pomegranate is said to activate the fruit's most beneficial components, particularly those that deliver skin lightening benefits. Lime juice is often mixed with pomegranate juice as the activator due to its skin lightening content. In commercially produced products, lime juice may be used as a replacement to the more expensive pomegranate juice. If you are allergic to peanut oil, skip the use of pomegranate-peanut oil-lime juice concoction. Check out other food-based oils with skin lightening benefits.

  • Similar to other natural skin treatment concoctions, these homemade pomegranate fixes may take some time to see results. You may have to wait a week or a month to notice gradual lightening of moles. When allergic reactions are experienced, stop the use of these mixtures. This home remedy should only be applied to moles that are not malignant.
