How to Make Your Own Daily Shower Cleaner
Making your own daily shower cleaner saves money and keeps you and your family from being exposed to chemicals in commercial cleaners. A homemade shower cleaner can be just as effective as a commercial cleaner in removing dirt and soap scum from showers, and the homemade cleaner does not leave behind an unwanted film or residue. Things You'll Need
- 16 or 32 oz. spray bottle
- White distilled vinegar
- Rubber gloves
- Soft cloth or sponge
- Warm water
- Baking soda
- Ammonia
- Large bucket

Vinegar Cleaner

Pour white distilled vinegar into a 16 or 32 oz. spray bottle.

Spray your shower's walls, floor, ceiling, shower head, and any doors or curtains. Let the vinegar stand on the surfaces for five minutes to break down grime and buildup.

Wet a soft cloth or sponge with warm water, and use it to scrub your shower thoroughly. Rinse the shower with water from the shower head.
Baking Soda and Vinegar Cleaner

Put on rubber gloves. Mix 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1 cup of white distilled vinegar, 1 cup of ammonia, and 1 gallon of warm water in a large bucket.

Pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Shake the bottle gently to mix the cleaner.
