Make Clown Fish Easter Eggs

Kids love these Nemo-inspired Eggs that will add flair to your Easter table.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eggs
  • white-out/paper white
  • orange egg dye packets
  • thin black magic marker
  1. Step 1

To hard boil eggs, fill a pot with enough cold water to cover. Bring to a rolling boil, then turn Heat down to Medium High. Cook for 8-10 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Promptly pace eggs in iced water for 5 minutes. This will ensure the yolks will stay yellow and no green line appears around them. Remove and let sit on a flat surface to warm.

  3. Step 3

Prepare orange dye. Boil water and add to egg dye packet. Immerse eggs completely for 5-10 minutes. The longer they stay, the darker the color.

  4. Step 4

Pat egg dry with a paper towel. Hold the egg horizontally with the tip facing you. With the paper white, draw 2 circles above the tip for eyes.

  5. Step 5

Take black marker and draw a gill (half 'C" backward) about 2 finger widths back from your eyes. Behind that draw a 3-pronged 'fin'. Repeat on other side.

  6. Step 6

Add pupils to your eyes once the paper white is dry. Below the eyes, use the marker again to draw a mouth.

  7. Step 7

Take paper white to draw 3 stripes on the side of the egg-fish. Draw one complete line behind the fin and the other two above and below the gill and fin. Repeat on other side.
