1
Make a wall hanging from a quilt or other fabric item by first attaching the fabric to dowels you can find at your local craft store. You can attach the quilt, sari, or other fabric with picture hangers made by Command Strips. These are removable and will not harm the fabric or the wall.

2
Lay your quilt or fabric face down on a flat surface. Attach at least four of the Command strips to the dowel, evenly spaced in a line along the surface. Place a strip every 6 inches, so that the quilt will not sag as it hangs on the wall. Remove the protective covering from the back of the strip and press the dowel firmly against the top of the quilt, holding it securely in place for at least a minute while the glue on the strip activates. For added dimension, repeat this process with another dowel on the bottom of your quilt.

Hang the fabric or quilt on your wall with four removable wall hooks. Attach the hooks to the wall in an evenly spaced line where you'd like the top of your quilt to hang, and then rest the dowel on the hooks. Dowels give your wall hanging dimension, but you can also hang the fabric flat against the wall with removable picture hangers attached to the back of the fabric.

Tips & Warnings
Frame four to six pictures with the same theme in the same size frames. The frames do not need to match but sizing is important. Architectural photos of your town, close up shots of flowers or a series of black and white portraits of your child are examples of themes for this wall hanging. Take the photos yourself, frame them and place them in a vertical row, picture side down. Attach them to a strip of ribbon with Velcro. Hang the ribbon on the wall. This hanging works well in a hallway, kitchen nook, foyer or other small area.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the removable strip application.
