Just like any other air purifier, the blocky Living Air ozone air purifiers require regular cleaning. Cleaning the blades of your air purifier will remove the build-up of dust, allergens, dirt and other materials that the machine has pulled out of the air and restore the purifier to proper working condition. If you don't clean the air purifier regularly--as often as once a week after first installation, but often less frequently after that--it will become saturated with debris and unable to continue cleaning the air.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Clean rags
  • Old toothbrush
  • Ammonia
  1. Step 1

Grasp the handle of each ozone plate from the back of the Living Air purifier and pull them one at a time out of the unit.

  2. Step 2

Wipe each metal plate with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt.

  3. Step 3

Scrub each metal plate and its ceramic tile with an old toothbrush dipped in hot water or about 1 ounce of ammonia diluted in a sink full of hot water. This removes any further dirt deposits.

  4. Step 4

Rinse the metal plate and ceramic tile in hot water.

  5. Step 5

Let the plates and tiles dry completely before reinserting them in the Living Air ozone air purifier. You can speed the drying process by wiping them down with a dry cloth immediately after rinsing.
