Instructions

    • 1

Wash anything you wish to sanitize with soap and water before applying a bleach solution. Chlorine looses its effectiveness around oils and dirt. The sanitizing is the last step of the cleaning process.

    • 2

Disinfect food surfaces and utensils with a solution of 1 tsp of bleach to 1 quart of water. Simply mix water and bleach in a spray bottle and spray the surfaces until coated. Let it sit for 1 minute before rinsing.

    • 3

Prepare a sanitizing solution for substances that come in contact with children's mouths such as toys and bed rails by mixing 1 quart of water with 1/2 teaspoon of bleach. This should be a concentration of about 135 ppm of chlorine. Allow to work for at least one minute. Chlorine will dissipate into the air so you don't have to rinse this solution off.

    • 4

Clean a diaper or sickness area with a much stronger solution by mixing one quart of water with .4 cups of bleach, or a little less than half a cup. This is a strong corrosive solution and should be used with caution. This sanitizing solution is 5250 ppm. Allow it to sit for a minimum of 2 minutes and rinse with water.

    • 5

Dispose of any leftover solution at the end of the day as the bleach looses its effectiveness in the presence of air and sunlight. Use a fresh solution for each cleaning session.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make a larger quantity and soak children's toys to sanitize thoroughly Use cold water for better effectiveness

  • Always wear gloves when working with chlorine. Ultra bleach is different from normal bleach, follow precautions.
