How to Make a Ring Out of a Candy Wrapper

You don't necessarily have to toss a candy wrapper in the garbage once you have eaten the candy. Instead, you could use the wrapper to complete a craft project with your kids. Making a ring out of a candy wrapper is something that takes about a minute to do. Here is how to fold candy wrapper into a ring.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the candy wrapper fully and lay it flat on the table. The label should be facing down. If the candy wrapper is not rectangular (or square), fold or cut the wrapper so that it is rectangular.

    • 2

Fold the wrapper lengthwise and in thirds. When you fold the wrapper, the label should now be on the outside.

    • 3

Fold one end of the wrapper into a small triangle, pointing out. Doing so will allow you to connect the two ends of the candy wrapper, thus making the ring. The triangle should be roughly one quarter of an inch in size.

    • 4

Tuck the peak of the triangle into the other end of the candy wrapper. You may need to pinch the opposite end in order to open it enough so that the triangle will fit.

    • 5

Insert the triangle into the end of the wrapper. Push it in until the ring is the right size for your finger.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can use a small piece of tape to secure the two ends of the candy wrapper after you have finished making the ring.
