Polar fleece is a useful fabric, because it's wearable and easy to work with. And because polar fleece is a woven fabric, its raw edges will not fray when cut. This means that when working with fleece, it is not necessary to finish raw edges.
In addition to being easy to create with, fleece is both warm and breathable. These two characteristics make fleece a perfect fabric for warm blankets and clothing.
Whipping up a quick and warm fleece tie throw is a project that you might not believe could be so fast and easy. This project does not involve sewing and could be completed even by a child with a small amount of adult guidance.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Lay one piece of fleece with the wrong side up on a large work surface. Place the second piece of fleece on top of the first piece, with the right side facing up. Smooth both pieces of fleece and match the edges and corners.

  2. Step 2

Trim any edges that show selvage markings or printing and make both pieces of fleece the same size.

  3. Step 3

Place pins in the fleece pieces around all four edges.

  4. Step 4

Measure and cut a 4-inch square from all four corners.

  5. Step 5

Make 4-inch cuts through both pieces of fleece. Place each cut 1 inch apart along all four edges.

  6. Step 6

Tie the cut fleece strips. Start at a corner and tie a simple double knot with two strips of fleece. One strip should be from the top layer of fleece, and the other strip should be from the bottom layer.

  7. Step 7

Continue tying double knots around all four sides to finish the fleece tie throw.
