How to Wash Windows With Vinegar

Things You'll Need
- White distilled vinegar
- Dish detergent
- Recycled newspaper
- Basin
- Spray bottle (optional)
- Squeegee (optional)

Mix 1 cup of white distilled vinegar and 1 quart of warm water. Add a few drops of liquid dish detergent and mix well. Pour into a basin that is easy to use without spilling.

Saturate a clean, soft cloth with the solution and scrub the window, paying attention to the corners, where dirt and grime may tend to cling. Rinse the cloth in the solution and repeat if necessary to remove any soiled areas.

Crumple an old newspaper and use it to dry the window. Apply firm, even pressure. Flip the paper to the dry side and buff the window to a shine. Make sure the window is completely dry. You may need to use more than one sheet of newspaper for each window. Newspapers do not leave behind lint, and do a great job on cleaning windows.

Repeat the procedure for the outside of the window.

Tips & Warnings
Fill a spray bottle with the solution for quick cleanups in the kitchen. Use a squeegee for window cleaning , if preferred.
Wear latex gloves to prevent the dye from the newspaper from staining your hands.
