Electric skillets are great because they are so portable. You can even use them in college dorm rooms. You can cook some of your favorite meals in an electric skillet with the right tools and recipes on hand. One popular meal is pork barbecue ribs.

Step 1

Turn your electric skillet to medium-high heat. You need it to be pre-heated before you can put your ribs in it.

Combine the following ingredients in a large bowl to make your BBQ sauce: 2 tbsp. of melted butter, 1 cup of water, 3/4 cup of ketchup, 3/4 cup of mustard, 2 tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce, 2 dashes of salt, 1 dash of pepper, 2 tbsp. of vinegar, 2 tbsp. of lemon juice and 2 tbsp. of brown sugar.

Step 3

Place your pork ribs on your heated skillet and lightly brown them on both sides. The ribs will not be cooked all the way and that is okay. Use tongs to turn the ribs over.

Step 4

Turn the heat setting on your electric skillet down to medium-low heat and pour all of your homemade BBQ sauce in.

Cook the barbecue pork ribs for one hour. The barbecue sauce will have thickened and flavored your ribs just right.

Step 6

Serve the ribs hot with a vegetable and potato on the side.

Tip

If you don't want to make your own BBQ sauce, you can use a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce from the store.

Warning

Don't forget to turn off your electric skillet when you are done cooking with it. It is best if you completely unplug it.
