Instructions

    • 1

Clean out a bucket thoroughly. If there is dirt, sand or other solid in the bucket, it could scratch the floor when cleaning.

    • 2

Measure 1/4 cup of any liquid dish soap, and pour it into the bucket.

    • 3

Add 1 cup of lemon juice to the dish soap.

    • 4

Pour 2 cups of vinegar into the bucket.

    • 5

      Add 2 cups of water.

    • 6

Mix the solution thoroughly. If the dish or bucket has a lid, you can close the lid and shake the container vigorously. This probably works best, but you can just as well use a spoon.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure you have swept the floor so it is free of dirt, sand and other solids to avoid scratching the floor.

  • Wring your mop out well after wetting it in the solution so that it is just damp. Too much water can harm laminate surfaces.

  • You may change the quantities, but keep the ratio the same: equal parts water and vinegar, half that amount of lemon juice and an eighth of that amount of dish soap.
