Making a bridal bouquet is easy with the right materials. While many bouquets use more traditional colors like pink, white and red, for a modern look, a black-and-white wedding bouquet is also easy to do.
This bouquet can last a lifetime because true black roses aren't found in nature, so you'll need to buy artificial flowers. However, you can mix artificial with available real flowers, or choose dark calla lilies in place of black roses.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bouquet base with foam insert White baby's breath Black and white ribbons Black and white roses, artificial (6 or more of each) Foliage--black and white artificial ivy and trailing leaves Wire snips Hot glue gun
  1. Step 1

Trim the stems of all the flowers to the length you want them to be. The ones at the bottom of the bouquet should be a little longer to hang over the edges and cover the hands.

  2. Step 2

Insert the flowers into the foam base in the layout you prefer. To keep the colors even all the way around the bouquet, start in the middle and work outward, alternating the colors. You can bend the stems to place the blooms exactly where you want them. The baby's breath and foliage should fill in the spaces between the roses.

  3. Step 3

Place a drop of hot glue where each stem enters the base. This will ensure that your beautiful bouquet doesn't come apart at a critical moment.

  4. Step 4

Entwine the black and white ribbons to make a thick band, wrap this around the bouquet holder and tack into place with the hot glue.

  5. Step 5

Form a bow out of the loose ends of ribbon and allow some pieces to trail downward. You may have to trim some of them to give a more flowing look.
