      Place a paper towel on top of the unwanted adhesive. Place a clean cloth over the paper towel and iron over it until all of the adhesive is lifted off onto the paper towel. This method works well on fabric like clothing and carpet.

      Spray the adhesive with WD-40 and allow it to sit for 1 minute before wiping the adhesive with a clean white cloth. This method works on any surface. Clean the area as you usually would once all the adhesive is gone.
