Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar + extra in spray bottle

  • 1 cup Baking soda

  • Lemon essential oils (optional)

  • Spray bottle or spray top

  • Cleaning cloths

Tip

By cleaning the interior of your dishwasher once a month, it will help it run more efficiently. Which also means, cleaner dishes.

1. Spray With Vinegar

Remove the bottom rack and spray the inside of your dishwasher liberally with vinegar.

2. Wipe Interior

Use a clean cloth to wipe down the seal and inside of your dishwasher.

3. Add More Vinegar

Replace the bottom rack into your dishwasher. Pour 1 cup of vinegar into the bottom of your dishwasher.

4. Add Baking Soda

Add 1 cup of baking soda into the bottom of your dishwasher. An optional step is to add 3 drops of lemon essential oils to deodorize.

5. Run Dishwasher

Run your dishwasher on the Light Wash cycle.
