  • 32 Marshmallows
  • 3/4 cup cold butter (can use margarine-DO NOT soften)
  • 2/3 cup of milk
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla

Instructions

      Melting marshmallows

      To start making your frosting- Place saucepan on burner on low heat and combine your 32 marshmallows and 2/3 cup of milk. Allow to heat until marshmallows dissolve then remove from heat. Mix, then allow it to set away from heat until it reaches room-temperature.

      Hand mixer

      Using a hand mixer on a medium speed setting mix your butter (AKA creaming) until the consistency becomes light and airy.

      Milk

      For this frosting you want to stir regularly so continue beating, slowly adding your milk and marshmallow mixture and then your vanilla. Beat until your marshmallow frosting becomes a stiff consistency.

      Dessert Ideas: Try playing around with your frosting recipe and using different colored marshmallows or food coloring to add some wow to your dessert. Maybe try spreading it over a two layer chocolate cake and top it with some sliced strawberries or whole cherries to finish it off.

  • You can use a drop or two of food coloring to add some color to your desserts as well.
