How to Make Cute Korker Bows
Korker bows are a cute hair accessory for girls of all ages. Cheerleaders use them because they look like little pompons. You can make them in any size and color. Make several to coordinate with any outfit.
Things You'll Need
- 3/8-inch grossgrain ribbon, any color
- ¼-inch wooden dowel rods
- Embroidery thread
- Needle
- Scissors
- Lighter
- Oven
- Alligator clips or barrettes
- Clothespins

Choose three different colors or kinds of 3/8-inch grossgrain ribbon. Treat the edge with a lighter to seal edges from fraying. Take the corner of the ribbon and wrap it around a ¼-inch 1-foot-long wooden dowel rod. Clip the corner with a clothespin. Wrap to the bottom and then clip the bottom with a clothespin.

Set the oven at 275 F. When all of your wooden dowels are wrapped with ribbon, put them on a cookie sheet and into the oven for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, pull them out and let them cool.

Unwrap the ribbon from the dowel rods. Cut the ribbon into thirds. Treat the edges with a lighter or ribbon fray spray.

Line up the ribbon. Take a piece of string or thread and wrap it in the middle. You can also use a thread and needle to sew at the center a few times. Use a glue gun to attach it to an alligator clip or barrette.

You can use different sizes of grossgrain ribbon.
