National Strawberry Ice cream day is a little known celebration on January 15. How can your family celebrate this holiday without spending too much money? Here are some tips.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Strawberry Ice Cream
  • Whip Cream
  • Fruits
  • T Shirts
  • Toppings, Nuts or what ever candy in the home
  • Red Table cloths
  • Red and White Bowls
  • Strawberry Shortcake dolls
  • Anything the has strawberries on it that is around your family's home
  1. Step 1

To show your love for the holiday make silly things like strawberry games, Posters and T Shirts that say for example " I love Strawberry Ice cream" or Strawberry rules, Chocolate Drools. Make it fun, cheap and something for the whole family to enjoy. The shirts can be made by writing on dads old t shirts. The posters can be done with Poster board or by making small posters with what ever paper that is around the home.

  2. Step 2

Decorate for the day by either putting down a Red or white tablecloth(or sheet). Also the dollar store has a dollar Red table cloth. Also red plates, cups, and other red items can be purchased. If you buy a white cup draw strawberries on the cups. On the table use a center piece of a strawberry short cake doll or what ever is around the house with strawberries on it.

  3. Step 3

Next its time to celebrate this great food by setting fruits, toppings, whip cream, candy or what ever you have to top the strawberry ice cream on a plate. Dip out the ice cream and add toppings to it or eat it alone.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make it fun but don't go overboard, if you simply want to go out and buy strawberry ice cream that is still honoring the day.
  • Drawing on the cups can be fun for the kids so let them do it.
  • If a family member is diabetic or allergic to strawberries go with sugar free vanilla instead.
