How to Redo Your Bathroom for $100 or Less
Envious of the wonderful bathroom designs seen on television? How about the ideas seen in design magazines? If big changes are out of your budget, try paint and and a few of these suggestions, which will cost $100 or less. Does this Spark an idea?

Before you redo your bathroom, remove everything that will get in the way of working. Clean everything that needs to be cleaned before applying fresh paint. Remove any cabinet hardware that will be replaced or painted.

Next, tape any areas that need protection from paint. Place drop cloths or old bed sheets on the bathroom fixtures. Cover your floor with cloths or paper to minimize cleaning time.

Paint the walls of the room, allowing the paint to dry thoroughly before deciding if a second coat is needed.

If you are not replacing your cabinet hardware, clean it and then paint it, using spray paint. Lightly sand before painting if needed. If you do not have a lot of cabinets, replacing the hardware with new knobs and pulls will give your bathroom an upgraded feel without much expense.

Install your new toilet seat. If you have never done this, read the instructions carefully.

Frame your unframed bathroom mirror using primed and painted wood trim. Attach the trim with silicone caulk. Let this dry for 24 hours before caulking the seams with white, paintable caulk. Touch up the joints.

Cover your existing shower liner with curtains or drapes you already have on hand instead of buying a new shower curtain.

Paint is inexpensive. If you are not happy with the changes you have made, it will be easy to redo!
Be sure to keep the bathroom exhaust fan running to lessen paint fumes.

Great article, we are repainting our bathroom soon, but never thought about giving the hardware a change to also help give it a new look, we bought new peel and stick floor tile's at Ollies Bargin store!
