Things You'll Need:
- White vinegar
- Fabric markers
- Water
-
Step 1
First, immediately soak the garment in water to stop the damage that bleach can cause fabric. This can prevent the garment from fraying at the site of the stain.
-
Step 2
Use white vinegar on the stain--but do this with caution, as the vinegar can further damage the fabric if you use too much. Use a cloth to blot the bleach spot with vinegar until the fabric is totally saturated. Rinse the fabric in cold water and then repeat.
-
Step 3
Use a fabric marker to color in the bleach spot. You can find fabric markers in a variety of colors at any fabric store, or through online retailers.
-
Step 4
As a last recourse, try stripping the entire garment of color and re-dyeing it. Rit sells color removal, in which you soak the garment before laundering it. Make sure to follow the directions on the box. After removing the color from a garment, you can then dye it any color you wish.
