Use vinegar to clean your furniture and floors. Vinegar is an organic way to clean your wood furniture, carpets, and windows to bring out their natural glow. With these tips, Vinegar will be your new favorite cleaner!

  1. Step 1

    Clean no-wax floors: To wash no-wax floors, add a half-cup of white distilled vinegar to a half-gallon of warm water.

    Clean carpet stains: Treat stain immediately. Mix 1 tsp liquid detergent and 1 tsp white distilled vinegar with 1 pint lukewarm water. Apply with a soft brush or towel and rub gently. Rinse with a clean moist towel and blot dry. Repeat until the stain is gone. Dry quickly using a blow dryer.

    Clean windows: Clean windows with a mixture of equal parts of white distilled vinegar and warm water. Dry with a soft cloth. This solution will make your windows gleam and will not leave film or streaks on the glass.

    Clean woodwork: Wash painted walls, woodwork and Venetian blinds with a mix of 1 cup ammonia, a half-cup of white distilled or cider vinegar and a quarter-cup of baking soda with 1 gallon of warm water. Wipe walls or blinds with this solution using a sponge or cloth and rinse with water.
