Things You'll Need:
- Iron
- White Paper or Cloth
- tweezers
-
Step 1
First, heat your iron to a setting appropriate for the material that the iron on transfer is adhered to. (i.e. lower heat for polyesters, higher heat for cotton). Do not use the steam function for this process.
-
Step 2
Second, place a piece of white paper or cloth (preferably cotton, watch for fabrics that will melt or scorch with the iron' s heat)over the portion of the material that the iron on transfer is adhered to. If the transfer is on a item of clothing, turn the clothing inside out so you can iron the fabric from the other side of the transfer.
-
Step 3
Third, with the paper or cloth on the bottom, and the material with the iron on transfer on the top (transfer facing down), iron the material for two to three minutes, continuously moving the iron. The transfer should adhere to the paper or cloth after this time.
-
Step 4
Finally, slowly remove the item that held the transfer from the paper or cloth. Remove any remaining pieces on the item with tweezers.
