Things You'll Need:
- Dance Floors
- Classical Music CDs
- Romantic Music
- Disc Jockeys
- Live Band And DJ Rentals
-
Step 1
Select an experienced band or DJ - that is, performers who can assess the mood of the crowd and play accordingly. Get references from family and friends.
-
Step 2
Work closely with the DJ or band to produce a play list. Whether you're aiming for an overall sound or selecting an assortment of tunes, have a plan.
-
Step 3
Begin the evening with "after dinner" music of classy, romantic tunes, followed by upbeat, contemporary songs. Wind things down with a soulful mix - a variety that will be sure to please the crowd.
-
Step 4
Pepper your selection with special dance songs that encourage group participation, including those old favorites - a wedding isn't complete without a chicken dance or two.
-
Step 5
Put your wedding attendants to work - get them on their feet and into action and have them invite other guests onto the dance floor.

on 3/16/2009 I went with Diverse Sounds (http://www.diversesounds.com) for my Wedding DJ. If you’re anywhere in West Michigan, I would strongly suggest considering them for their disc jockey service. They even have an online submission form where you can outline exactly what it is that you’re looking for. Then they will contact you personally to make sure that you get exactly what you’re looking for out of your Wedding. Because of the experience of my wedding, my parents are looking forward to working with Diverse Sounds for their 35th Wedding Anniversary.

on 5/21/2008 I hired a professional party starter for my friends wedding. This very realistic couple showed up to the wedding just like normal guests, and when the music started they just got up an started dancing. After they filled the dance floor they started to play brilliant dancing games like pretending to be a jockey, a spy and many other funny acts. They also came prepared with valid cover stories of how they knew the bride and groom. I will try and find their details but i think they were called Rich and Kate. This sounds strange but believe me it was so much fun.

on 7/29/2007 The one and only wedding I've ever been to where every single person (all 125 attendees) participated in the Chicken Dance was my own wedding. The DJ asked everyone to stand in a circle and hold hands so that he could wish the new couple well. As soon as he was done, he said, "And now...since you're all up here..." and started the Chicken Dance music. :)
