Things You'll Need:
- 3-5 balloons of coordination colors
- 1 mylar centerpiece balloon
- stuffed animal
- curling ribbon
-
Step 1
Helium balloons can be purchased at many party stores, Wal-Marts, and most grocery stores(in the floral area). A balloon bouquets looks best with an odd number of balloons. 3-5 balloons make a nice small bouquet, yet 9-11 can make a dramatic showing for a centerpiece for a party.
-
Step 2
If purchasing helium balloons that are inflated, request curling ribbon that matches the theme of your bouquet. Additional curling ribbon hanging from the balloon adds nice visual interest near the top of your bouquet.
-
Step 3
Gather the ribbons together, so that the balloons are staggered evenly throughout the bouquet in a pleasing display. Try not to bunch too many balloons at one level and not enough at another. Insert the main mylar saying balloon in the center of focus. Once happy with the balloon placement, tie the ribbons together in a knot to secure balloon placement. Secure the balloons to a stuffed animal (size depends on number of balloons) as an anchor for the balloon bouquet.

on 12/6/2008 I like balloons. I just had the idea of doing this for my wife. I always want to bring home flowers, but they are so expensive. I could put this together in no time and practically no money...hopefully she doesn't read this comment.
