I love wrapping gifts and finding something extra to decorate the top of the gift with. These are steps to help you top a gift and make it extra special!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
Kitchen gadget for the gift topper

Kitchen gadget for the gift topper

Food gifts are my favorite type of gift to give. I usually make up a gift basket and find something to tie on the top of the basket that goes with the theme of what is inside. For example, if you make up a gift basket of things that are useful for the kitchen, tie a small kitchen gadget on the top of the gift such as a fancy spoon or wisk.

  2. Step 2
    Tool for gift topper

If its a gift for a handy man such as a set of tools, wrap the box with gift paper and a large bow. Then tie into the bow a flashlight or small hammer.

  3. Step 3
Tea bags to use as a gift topper

If you are making a homemade bread or cake, wrap it in clear plastic then add a ribbon. To the ribbon attach a tea bag. This way the person that you are giving the bread to can also enjoy a cup of hot tea with it.

  4. Step 4
    candy cane

Give a gift of homemade hot cocoa and top the glass jar off with a candy cane! For how to make homemade hot cocoa in glass jars for gifts check out my article!!

on 11/6/2008 I have a hard enough time getting the wrapping on the box, much less entwining a hammer or candy canes. But I'd love getting something wrapped like this. Very nice suggestions.
